Activities of Daily Living
Activities of Daily Living refer to the basic tasks that individuals need to perform every day for self-care. These activities are foundational for living independently and are critical markers for assessing an individual's ability to live on their own or the level of care they require. At Compassionate Home care Associates LLC, we recognize and assist with activities of daily living that are vital for fostering an environment of respect, dignity, and support.

Personal Hygiene and Grooming: Includes bathing, nail care, hair care, and oral care. Compassionate care involves assisting clients with these tasks in a way that respects their privacy and encourages autonomy wherever possible.
Dressing: Involves choosing appropriate clothing and physically dressing or undressing. This activity supports individuals in maintaining their personal identity and self-expression through their attire, with assistance tailored to their level of mobility and preference.
Feeding: Assistance with eating and drinking, ensuring that dietary needs and preferences are met. Compassionate care involves making meals an enjoyable and social time, respecting food preferences, and providing company.

Mobility: Assistance with moving from one place to another, including walking, using a wheelchair, or transferring (e.g., from bed to chair). It focuses on promoting independence while ensuring safety and preventing falls.
